2024 Convention Hotel Options

HYATT PLACE PHOENIX/DOWNTOWN - Convention Overflow Hotel

The WSA has secured an additional block of rooms at a comparable rate to the convention hotel. Please use the button below to reserve your room at The Hyatt Place. A few important notes:

• Room rate through our block is $129/night for king or 2 queen rooms, up to 4 people in a room. 
• The king rooms also have sleeper sofas.
• Hot breakfast is included.
• This rate is available July 8 - 16, 2024.
• A deposit equal to one night’s room rate + tax will be charged at booking and is refundable up until 48 hours prior to your secured reservation.
• Rooms may be booked by using this link through Friday, June 28, 2024 or until the room block is full.

HILTON GARDEN INN PHOENIX/DOWNTOWN - Convention Overflow Hotel

The WSA has secured an additional block of rooms at a comparable rate to the convention hotel. Please use the button below to reserve your room at the Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Downtown.

• Room rate through our block is $129/night for king or 2 queen rooms, up to 4 people in a room. 
• This rate is available Tuesday July 9 - Monday, July 15, 2024.
• A deposit equal to one night’s room rate + tax or a credit card guarantee are required at booking. Hotel Standard cancellation applies: 48 hours prior to arrival otherwise one nights room and tax will be charged.
• Rooms may be booked by using this link through Friday, May 24, 2024 or until the room block is full.

RENAISSANCE PHOENIX DOWNTOWN HOTEL - Convention Overflow Hotel

The WSA has secured an additional block of rooms at a comparable rate to the convention hotel. Please use the button below to reserve your room at the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel.

• Room rate through our block is $119/night for king standard (double occupancy) or double queen rooms (up to 4 people in a room).
• This rate is available July 9 - 15, 2024.
• A deposit equal to one night’s room rate + tax will be charged at booking.
• Hotel standard cancellation applies - Individual reservations must be cancelled by 11:59 PM three (3) days prior to arrival otherwise one night's room and tax will be charged.
• Rooms may be booked by using this link through June 11, 2024, or until the room block is full.

Due to a greater level of response than expected with our original room block, we are requesting your patience as we work through assisting everyone. Please read below for additional info on the room block status.

• Our room block launched on Wednesday, January 10th. Early nights sold out that day, and we added more rooms. During the next week, additional nights sold out, we added more rooms, and they sold out again.
• Now, the block at the Hyatt is 98% full, and after lengthy discussions and negotiations, we learned the hotel itself is nearly sold out on Friday, July 12. This means there are no available rooms to add to our block.
• Our room block is available until June 17, 2024. As we get closer to convention, there will likely be cancellations which will open up room availability.
• For attendees who have booked a room, or multiple rooms “just in case”, we ask that you determine as soon as possible if you will attend, so that any available dates may be released for others who have been unable to book.
• We have added room blocks at the Hyatt Place Phoenix/Downtown, the Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Downtown, and the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown, all of which are within 2 blocks of the Hyatt Regency. You can book a room using the buttons below.

NAVIGATING CURRENT ROOM BLOCK SITUATIONS

We have heard from some attendees about a few scenarios where some changes may need to be made to your personal reservation. Unfortunately, the WSA is not able to make changes on reservations made with personal credit cards.

Please review the situations below for possible solutions.

• I was not able to reserve a room in the WSA block for convention at The Hyatt Regency Phoenix.
  • Option 1: Book a room at the Hyatt Place Phoenix/Downtown, Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Downtown, or Renaissance Phoenix Downtown.
  • Option 2: Join the wait list for the Hyatt Regency
  • Option 3: Wait a few months and see if a room opens.
  • Option 4: Book a room at the Hyatt Regency outside the room block, join the waitlist for the Hyatt Regency, and watch for notification via your email that cancellations have occurred to move your reservation into our block.
• I have made a reservation for my desired dates, but was not able to secure the WSA group rate with any of my reservation.
  • This scenario most likely indicates your hotel reservation is not part of our room block due to sold out dates, and you received the prevailing rate. You have a few options.
    • Option 1: Reach out to the hotel to see if any rooms have opened up (for your specific dates). Upon availability, the hotel will be able to shift your rate so you are part of the WSA group rate.
    • Option 2: Join the wait list for the Hyatt Regency so we notify you if rooms in our block become available.
    • Option 3: Cancel your reservation at the Hyatt Regency and book at the Hyatt Place Phoenix/Downtown, Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Downtown, or Renaissance Phoenix Downtown.
• I have made a reservation for my desired dates, but was not able to secure the WSA group rate on one (or multiple nights) in my reservation.
  • You have a few options.
    • Option 1: Reach out to the hotel to see if any rooms have opened up (for your specific dates). Upon availability, the hotel will be able to shift your rate so you are part of the WSA group rate.
    • Option 2: Join the wait list for the Hyatt Regency so we notify you if rooms in our block become available.
    • Option 3: Cancel your reservation at the Hyatt Regency and book at the Hyatt Place Phoenix/Downtown, Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Downtown, or Renaissance Phoenix Downtown.
• I have made a reservation within the room block, but have been placed in a King bedroom for some of my stay, and was told I will need to switch rooms mid convention to a Double Queen room.
  • Per the Hyatt Regency, guests have a few options for this scenario:
    • Option 1: You can wait until you arrive at the hotel to which the staff at the Hyatt Regency will work to merge your rooms so you don’t have to shift during your stay.
    • Option 2: You can reach out to connect with The Hyatt to try and resolve this prior to your arrival.
    • Option 3: You can cancel your reservation at the Hyatt Regency and book at the Hyatt Place Phoenix/Downtown, Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix Downtown, or Renaissance Phoenix Downtown.
